DIRECT ADMISSION
(Against dropout seats)

Applications are invited for admission in B.Tech-1st year courses in the following disciplines against the dropout seats as per Govt. norms. The discipline wise vacancy status is given below.

Computer Science and Engineering -3
Electronics and Communication Engineering -2
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering-2
Electrical Engineering-1
Mechanical Engineering- 1
Information Technology- 2
Eligibility criteria : 10+2 pass with atleast 45% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
Interested candidate may submit their application along with the copy of the H.S. mark sheet and rank card (if any) to the administrative office of the institute.
Last date of the receiving the application is 22nd August 2011.
N.B.: 1. Preference will be given to the candidate having WBJEE/AIEEE rank.
2. Candidates already admitted to the other institute through counseling or management quota are not eligible to apply.

NOTICE
Applications are invited from needy and meritorious students (B.Tech – 1st semester) of this Institute for award of full-free / half-free studentship as notified by the Govt. of West Bengal vide G.O. No.272-Edn( T) /10M-06/2010 dated 01-07-2011. Eligibility Criteria for consideration of the award are as follows:
a) Students domiciled in the State of West Bengal, whose annual family income is less than Rs.2,50,000/- from all sources shall only be eligible for seats under this scheme. The waiver is limited to the tuition fee component and all other fees except tuition fees will have to be borne by the beneficiary.
b) For the purpose of determining the annual income of parents/guardians of the students, an Officer of the State Govt. in the rank of Joint B.D.O. and above in the districts/their equivalent counterparts (Group A Officers) elsewhere will be competent to issue income certificate, as notified by the Govt. of West Bengal vide the Government Order specified above.
Interested students are required to submit the application along with the following testimonials by 25th August, 2011 at the latest to the Administrative Office.
Attested copies of
i) Madhyamik / Secondary marksheet
ii) H.S. or (10+2) marksheet
iii) Income Certificate
iv) JEM / AIEEE rank card
Students are directed to note that all free-studentships are granted subject to regular attendance, good conduct and good academic performance.
