11. In most of the management schools it is a common practice that in the first year full-time MBA students are required to undergo foundation courses in various disciplines of management like, Behavioural Science, Managerial Economics, Systems & MIS, Marketing, Finance etc. But in the second year practices differ. Some management schools offer specialisation (majors) in a particular discipline of management, say Marketing, Finance etc. believing that it is "an age of specialisation" while others do not offer any specialisation as such (though students are free to take up courses as they desire in any specialised area) believing that Management Schools should prepare managers for general management responsibilities. We desire to know which view you subscribe :

12. Some management schools offer as many as 90 optional courses to their second year MBA students ; of them the students are required to take about 15 courses according to their choice. One view is that students should be given absolute freedom to select optional courses according to their own understanding; the other view is that it is the Faculty in consultation with the Students (representatives) who would decide a package of courses for every year according to the demand of industry and trade, both present and future. 15. There is a general practice amongst reputed management schools to send their students on industrial internship (summer or winter placement) for about 60 days as a part of the MBA programme. What are, in your opinion, the benefits or otherwise of such internship :
