Summer Placements

Summer placements have been secured for all B.Tech. students with various corporates including multinationals offering stipends.

SPECIAL MOU WITH JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY

FIEM has struck with Jadavpur University a special MOU for high-end workshops, libraries and reservation of seats in M.Tech. Programme.

THE CAMPUS

Sprawling ambience with greenery, lakes and landscaping on seven acres of land at Kamalgazi, Ramkrishna Mission Pally, directly connected to EM bypass, close to Garia Bus Depot, Railway Station and the proposed Garia Metro Station.

Public transport facilities including buses, minibuses and autos are available from the campus gate.

Institute buses ply from various pick-up points.

The current built-up institutional space is Two Lacs Twenty Thousand square feet, to be upgraded to Six Lacs square feet over twenty-five acres of land.

The Engineering Departments have spacious academic buildings, well-equipped workshops and laboratories with state-of-the-art equipments, seminar and graphic halls, utility buildings, etc. well connected by internal roads.

The Business School is located in a separate building within the campus with its air-conditioned classrooms and auditorium equipped with audio-visual projection system.

LIBRARY FACILITIES

The Central Library is on a spacious eight thousand square feet dedicated floor with online access through LIBSYS. Under the supervision of a qualified Librarian, it has a commendable collection of books, journals, magazines and newsletters to cater to the academic and research needs of students and faculty members. New titles are being added regularly. The Library subscribes to both International and National journals including e-journals.

The Library is open from 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m., with further extended hours during semester examination of students. The Library has separate technology and management wings. The students can search for titles and subjects through computer terminal and can place demand.

COMPUTER CENTRE

The central computing facilities alongwith special purpose and departmental ones consist of state-of-the-art computer labs with 460 plus P IV computers and high configuration servers at present, connected in LAN with dedicated 512 kbps leased internet connectivity.

OTHER SPECIAL FEATURES

1.	AXIS Bank Extension Counter, with educational loan facilities is housed inside the campus.
2.	A Fiber-optic cabled Automatic Digital Telephone Exchange set up by the DOT, Government of India, serves as a part of the electronics laboratory.
3.	All machines are connected in Local Area Network (LAN) with dedicated internet connectivity through 512 kbps leased line.
4.	Reprographic section with photocopying facilities at subsidized rates.
5.	A dedicated high-tension sub-station for power supply.

Fellowship for M.E. Programme of Jadavpur University

Jadavpur University has approved reservation of five seats each year in the M.E. Programme for candidates sponsored by Future Institute of Engineering and Management Kolkata (FIEM) from 2005-2006 session in : (1) Electronics and Communication (2) Computer Science (3) Mechanical (4) Electrical & (5) Electronics and Instrumentation. Only young meritorious engineering graduates who intend to take up teaching and research as profession would be wholly sponsored by FIEM. This is in line with the AICTE spirit of Early Faculty Induction Programme. Applications for fellowship should reach within 6th July, 2007 to : Noshir N. Merit Scholarship from FIEM for WBJEE 2005 rankholders

FIEM also offers Merit Scholarships and 150 hours of free management education inputs to its B. Tech students taking admission through WBJEE 2005.
